Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993, and the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely recognized for initiating the modern study of the memory of witnesses and also children's witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won many awards and grants. She has provided consulting on research and policy for numerous government agencies and departments around the globe. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations, including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member, International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
